Coriander

Super leafy variety that doesn’t go to seed too quickly.

Can be grown in pots but best to successional grow to ensure leaves through the season, I find these tend to go to seed too quick if sown in hot weather so good time to sow now, although at the moment it is still hot!). Height 45cm, happy to grow in dappled shade, too much sun will cause plants to bolt.

If you have access to a greenhouse, these stand well through the winter undercover. 

Best sown direct 10mmdeep, in final planting position, so either in pots or direct into the soil, not so good for module sowing. Seeds will germinates in approx 20 days. Once germination occurs, thin plant out to 20cm. I like to grow a row of these every month.  Seeds can be harvested for the following years sowing, these ones I have saved are called ‘Aroma’, less prone to bolting.
