A Gardener’s Countdown to Christmas

Forget the chocolate — this is an advent calendar filled with something you can enjoy long after Christmas has finished.

My handmade Queen of Seed Advent Calendar contains 24 individually numbered red envelopes, each hiding a surprise packet of seeds. Open one every day from 1st December through to Christmas Eve and discover a lovely mixture of vegetable, herb and flower seeds to sow and enjoy throughout the coming year.

Each calendar also includes natural twine and a selection of adorable miniature wooden pegs, including festive designs, so you can create your own Christmas display around a mantelpiece, staircase, shelf or wall.

The seed selection will vary according to seasonal availability and my current small-batch stock, making every calendar a genuine surprise. Each one will contain a varied mixture of vegetables, herbs and flowers rather than 24 packets from just one category.

Seeds should be stored somewhere cool and dry until their recommended sowing time.
