Description
A small variety called Canton Dwarf, compact and tastes delicious.
- Sow July to August for late autumn and winter harvest. Sow a scattering of seed into a seed tray or sow into modules filled with compost. When large enough to handle if you’ve sown into a seed tray you will need to prick out individually into modules to grow on.
- For final planting, plant into final position 15cm spacing. I grow these in winter undercover in the greenhouse but they are happy enough outside, just perhaps cover for protection if it gets cold.
- You can harvest these as a whole or remove the outer leaves when needed, you don’t need to pull the whole plant up just keep removing the outer leaves to eat and you will get a really long harvest this way.
