•  Sow seeds either direct in prepared ground March to May or for late harvests July – August. Germination takes 10 days approx. Thin seedlings as required but roughly about a 20cm gap in-between. In spring I find that I like to sow the more traditional red varieties and late autumn I sow the Chinese radish ‘Mooli’  or some of the black and white varieties. They are fast growing so often sown in-between sowings of other slower growing vegetables such as parsnips or fennel.

  • Care – Harvest as soon as the roots have reached a suitable size. Successional sow for continual supply. They like water and can go woody if they don’t get enough.
