Radish – Malaga Violet

Description

This radish is a striking dark purple colour and is of medium size. A nice crunchy variety and not too spicy!

Sow seeds either direct in prepared ground March to May or for late harvests July – August. Germination takes 10 days approx. Thin seedlings as required but roughly about a 20cm gap in-between.  They are fast growing so often sown in-between sowings of other slower growing vegetables such as parsnips or fennel. Harvest as soon as the roots have reached a suitable size. Successional sow for continual supply. They like water and can go woody if they don’t get enough
