Poppy – Maanzaad

Such a beautiful variety. This one is often called the bread seed poppy. This variety produces attractive, white/ pale papery blooms followed by masses of seeds. The seeds are commonly used in bread making. The flowers can be planted in mixed borders and also make good cut flowers for arrangements. Mix the seeds into fresh dough or sprinkle on top of the bread dough before baking.
Plant in well-drained soil in full sun/ part shade.
