‘Giant Dahlia’ Mix.
Half Hardy Annual
- A stunning collection of the most gorgeous ‘Dahlia-like’ Zinnias, perfect for cutting. A heady mix of hot yellow, orange pink and red. So easy to grow, I like to plant these at the end of my vegetables for some colour and to attract pollinators. They grow to 30cm , like sunny locations, not too fussy on soil type and are about 80cm-1m high.
- Sow undercover or direct in modules filled with compost, from March-May, don’t be tempted to go too soon with these, I learnt from experience they do not tolerate the cold!. If planting direct wait until the soil has warmed up, so roughly May. If raising in modules, pot on when seedlings are large enough to handle and plant outdoors after frosts, pinch the tips out to encourage a bushy habit. Flowers July to first frosts.
